Supervision planning
Define responsibilities, review frequency, reporting expectations and in-person or remote elements before the engagement begins.

This is an independent consulting service; no CPSO endorsement or employment relationship is implied.
CPSO guidance on supervisors and practice monitors →Frequently asked questions
Can a physician choose a supervisor independently?
Physicians may recruit a proposed supervisor, but a formal appointment is subject to CPSO approval and the applicable requirements.
Is practice monitoring the same as clinical supervision?
The roles can differ. Practice monitoring focuses on compliance with restrictions; clinical supervision may include chart review, education, feedback and reports. The individual arrangement controls.
Can meetings take place remotely?
Remote and in-person components depend on the approved arrangement and required level of supervision. No universal remote format is promised.
Can consulting remove licence restrictions?
No. Decisions about registration and restrictions remain with CPSO and the applicable regulatory process.
